Project HOPE is Monitoring Hurricane Beryl
Project HOPE is closely monitoring Hurricane Beryl, which has strengthened into a Category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of 120 miles per hour. Forecasters predict that it will intensify into a highly dangerous Category 4 hurricane by the time it reaches the Windward Islands, threatening to bring catastrophic winds and a life-threatening storm surge.
Hurricane Beryl is the third-earliest major hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean and the earliest Category 4 ever recorded in June. Wind speeds of this magnitude will cause significant power outages and structural damage across the region, displacing communities and disrupting health care access.
Project HOPE is closely monitoring its path.
